23-year-old Indian held at Indira Gandhi International airport with 3.32 kg cocaine worth Rs 46.44 crore | Delhi News – The Times of India

New Delhi: A 23-year-old Indian man was arrested at Delhi’s IGI Airport on Wednesday after 3.32 kg of cocaine, valued at Rs 46.44 crore, was found concealed in his luggage. The youth, who had arrived from Entebbe, Uganda, via Sharjah, was intercepted by Customs officials based on specific intelligence.
During X-ray screening of his baggage, authorities observed suspicious concealment. “Six packets containing a white powder were discovered hidden in the periphery of his trolley bag,” an official said. The substance was tested and confirmed to be cocaine using an NDPS field test kit.
The cocaine, estimated to be worth Rs 46.44 crore on the international market, was seized, and the passenger was detained. Legal action under the NDPS Act and Customs Act is currently underway.
