New Delhi: A 23-year-old man, identified as Vishal Kumar, missing for a month was found murdered in Dwarka. Police arrested two of his friends, Raja Kumar Mehto (31) and Praveen Kumar (40), who claimed that the victim frequently took their belongings and never returned them, leading them to plan his murder by drugging him first and then attacking with a skewer.
Police said that on Feb 28, they received a missing complaint for Kumar from his family. The family reported that on Feb 21, Vishal went to work in Dwarka Sector 5 but did not return in the evening, and his mobile phone was switched off. A kidnapping case was registered.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Ankit Singh said that after reviewing CCTV footage and gathering information from locals, two suspects were apprehended, who upon interrogation, confessed to the crime. “They admitted to murdering him and hiding his body in a building in the Nawada village area near Dada Bhaiya Park, Uttam Nagar,” Singh said.
Subsequently, the accused led the team to Dada Bhaiya Park and identified the crime scene, where the body was recovered.
