New Delhi: A decade-long dispute over signboard space between two driving school owners in Shahdara’s Durgapuri Chowk turned fatal on Friday morning when one of them, a 47-year-old man died after allegedly being pushed during a heated argument.According to police, a PCR call was received around 9:30 am reporting a scuffle near Monty Motors Training Centre, run by Bakshi Ram, the victim.“By the time police reached the spot, the victim was already taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival,” a police officer said. Initial investigations revealed that Ram and Manjit Singh alias Mintu (40), who runs a neighbouring driving school, were embroiled in a long-standing feud over placing promotional signboards near their adjacent shops, the cops said.”The dispute escalated Friday morning, leading to a physical confrontation during which Ram was allegedly pushed, causing him to collapse. Ram had a history of cardiac issues and underwent stent procedures. Whether the fall directly caused his death or it was triggered by his underlying health condition will be clear only after the post-mortem,” police added. The cops registered a case under Section 105 of the BNS forculpable homicide not amounting to murder, and the accused, Monty, has been arrested.
