New Delhi: The BJP govt, led by chief minister Rekha Gupta, and the state unit of the party met on Tuesday to discuss the roadmap for the coming days and the coordination between the two.
BJP’s national general secretary (organisation) BL Santhosh, Delhi state president Virendra Sachdeva and other senior functionaries , including minister of state Harsh Malhotra, were present.
Party sources said that various issues, for which the council of ministers and the party functionaries need to work in coordination, were discussed. The rolling out of schemes, especially the ones that were part of BJP’s Viksit Dilli Sankalp Patra, were also discussed.
“It was discussed how the govt and the party organisation should work in tandem to ensure that the party’s promises to the people are fulfilled and the long-pending issues are resolved to provide them with a real sense of change in regime in Delhi,” a senior BJP functionary said. “The MLAs have already started working in coordination with officers of departments to solve problems of water supply, roads, sewer lines, among others,” he said.
BJP made various promises to different sections of people, including women, the elderly, youth, workers, domestic helps, gig workers, among others, in its manifestro — the Sankalp Patra.TNN
