Cops issue second notice to Kunal Kamra for appearance | India News – The Times of India

MUMBAI: Khar police issued a second notice to standup comedian Kunal Kamra on Wednesday following his non-appearance in connection with the defamation case filed against him for alluding to deputy CM Eknath Shinde as “gaddar” in his video. The fresh notice, received by Kamra’s father in Mumbai, asks for his “immediate attendance” at the police station. Kamra’s lawyer had asked for a week’s time.
On Wednesday, Kamra said on X that T-series had initiated copyright action against his video for using their song in his parody and requested YouTube to remove the content.
In the legislative council, Shinde, addressing Shiv Sena (UBT), said, “You keep calling me “gaddar, gaddar”, you’ll soon have to close the “daar (door) of your party.”
