Delhi MCD cracks down on illegal spa signboards in Lajpat Nagar – The Times of India

New Delhi: Taking action against illegal signboards installed at shops in violation of the norms, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) removed 13 such boards and signage in the Lajpat Nagar area under the central zone. These boards were found to be installed outside spas and in violation of set norms, said officials.
Delhi BJP spokesperson Parveen Shankar Kapoor wrote to the MCD commissioner Ashwani Kumar, urging them to extend this drive against illegal signboards of spa centres across the city.
“There is also a need for action against illegal spas in the city. To avoid the high rents of commercial areas, some spas illegally rent out floors of residential buildings and run their businesses from there,” said Kapoor. tnn
