Encounter breaks out in J&K’s Kathua, security forces launch search operation | India News – The Times of India

NEW DELHI: A fresh encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Kathua district on Thursday, the Jammu & Kashmir Police said.
The gunfight began in the Ghati Juthana area of Rajbagh after security forces spotted the terrorists in the morning, and security forces have cordoned off the area, news agency PTI said, quoting officials.
This comes amid an ongoing anti-terror operation that has continued for the past four days.
Officials believe the terrorists are from the same group that managed to escape after an encounter in the Hiranagar sector on Sunday evening.
