
NEW DELHI: A businessman, his wife, and their two children were found unconscious at their factory in Northwest Delhi’s Bharat Nagar on Monday morning. The incident was reported around 9am, and all four were stated to be in critical condition.Police received a PCR call regarding a suspected case of poisoning involving the family at Sangam Park in Bharat Nagar. The victims—Hardeep Singh, his wife Harpreet Kaur (38), their 16-year-old son, and 15-year-old daughter—arrived at their industrial shed around 8am. Singh, who manufactures bike horns, opened the unit as part of his regular routine.Shortly after entering, the family reportedly began experiencing dizziness and nausea. Authorities are investigating whether the incident was an attempted suicide pact or if the family may have unintentionally inhaled a toxic substance, possibly due to a gas leak or chemical contamination at the site.Despite his worsening condition, the 16-year-old boy managed to contact a relative before losing consciousness. The relative immediately alerted emergency services. Emergency responders arrived quickly, and all four individuals were rushed to hospitals. They remain under medical observation and are receiving treatment.The area has been sealed off, and a forensic team is examining the premises to identify the source of the suspected toxin. Police launched a formal investigation and are interviewing neighbouring factory owners, as well as reviewing CCTV footage to reconstruct the sequence of events.
