Hindu College’s Old Students Association (OSA) hosted the 10th Clash of the Titans Invitational Debate, bringing together alumni from Hindu College, Kirori Mal College (KMC), Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Indraprastha College for Women (IP), Miranda House (MH), and Lady Shri Ram College (LSR). The event witnessed an intense competition, culminating in the presentation of the prestigious Clash of the Titans Cup to LSR and the Best Speaker award, which was bestowed upon Danish Farouqi of Hindu College.

The theme for this year’s debate, ‘This House Believes That India Has Arrived on the Global Stage,’ prompted alumni teams—each comprising two speakers advocating for and against the motion—to engage in thought-provoking discussions. Each speaker was allotted a 5-minute speaking slot, followed by a dynamic 2-minute interjection period, fostering a lively and spirited exchange of ideas. Moderated by Kajori Sen, the event featured a distinguished panel of three judges, who played a pivotal role in determining the winners. The Chief Guest for the evening was Yashovardhan Azad (Ex-IPS & CIC).
During the award ceremony, Ravi Burman, President of the Old Students Association of Hindu College, expressed his enthusiasm for the engaging debates and highlighted the immense enjoyment experienced by the young and vibrant participants. This year holds particular significance for Hindu College as it commemorates its 126th anniversary. The alumni, brimming with excitement, seized the opportunity to reunite during this festive occasion, with the debate event serving as a nostalgic and evocative trip down memory lane.
