Jacqueline Fernandez’s mother Kim, passes away following health complications | Hindi Movie News – The Times of India

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez’s mother, Kim has passed away today. She was admitted to the hospital for a while. The news was confirmed by Instant Bollywood on Instagram, although an official statement from the family is still awaited. Jacqueline’s fans and followers have been sending their condolences on social media.
In the past few days, Jacqueline was seen at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital where her mother was being treated. According to Hindustan Times, Kim had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) following a heart stroke. On Wednesday, the actress was spotted by paparazzi at the hospital entrance. She arrived in a white salwar kameez with a black mask covering her face, and was seen quickly making her way inside the building.

The report had earlier stated that Jacqueline’s mother remained in critical condition, with the actress staying close by as the family awaited further updates from doctors. The report quoted, “Jacqueline’s mother is still in the ICU recovering. As the family awaits further updates from the doctors. In these challenging times, Jacqueline has chosen to be by her mother’s side, and unfortunately will be missing performing at the IPL ceremony.”

The actress had been scheduled to perform at the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL) match on March 26 in Guwahati, between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders. However, she stepped away from the event to prioritise her family during this difficult time.

Kim Fernandez had reportedly been unwell for some time. As per Masala.com, in the past as well, she had suffered a stroke and was hospitalised in Bahrain in 2022. Kim was of Malaysian and Canadian descent, with Goan roots, and had been living in Manama, Bahrain, for several years.
