Labourer dies of electric shock in south Delhi | Delhi News – The Times of India

New Delhi: A 45-year-old laborer died after suffering an electric shock while working at a house in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash-1 on Monday.
According to police, Shankar Mandal was cutting iron rods with a machine when he was electrocuted. He was rushed to a hospital but was declared brought dead
Police registered a case under sections 289 (negligent conduct with respect to machinery) and 106(1) (causing death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) after a local inquiry and recording statements from the deceased’s relatives and co-workers. The body was sent for post-mortem examination, and an investigation was initiated to determine the circumstances leading to the tragic incident.
