Man loses 1.3cr to investment scam | Delhi News – The Times of India

New Delhi: A man was duped of Rs 1.29 crore on the pretext of investment with high returns. The accused claimed to be a financial analyst, and his associate reportedly operated a trading app through a WhatsApp group of over 130 members.
According to the FIR, the complainant was introduced to the app on Feb 3 by a colleague who claimed to be making 5% daily profits. Impressed by the performance, he joined the platform after KYC verification and seeing minor returns. Over a month, he transferred over Rs 1.29 crore through various accounts for trading and IPO investments based on instructions received via WhatsApp from the app’s customer service. tnn
