Man stabs female friend in Delhi Cantonment area | Delhi News – The Times of India

NEW DELHI: A 20-year-old boy stabbed a girl with a knife and then stabbed himself, injuring both in Delhi Cantonment area, police said on Monday.
The incident took place on the main road near Kirby Palace in Delhi Cantonment during Sunday night.
The suspect, identified as Amit (20), lives in Delhi Cantt. The Delhi Police confirmed that he and the victim had been acquainted for a year.
Police authorities were alerted about the situation at 11 pm on Sunday when a pedestrian made a PCR call to report the incident.
The police investigation revealed that the victim had sustained lacerations on her face and neck. A knife was also discovered at the scene. Both individuals are currently receiving medical treatment at the hospital.
The authorities have filed a case against the accused under section 109(1) of BNS at PS Delhi Cantt, and the investigation continues.
