Massive security breach at Vaishno Devi shrine after woman held for carrying pistol | Jammu News – The Times of India

NEW DELHI: A woman carrying a pistol managed to breach security checks and reach the Bhawan of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine on the intervening night of March 14-15, officials said.
The woman, identified as Jyoti Gupta, is said to be working with Delhi Police. The weapon in her possession had an expired licence. She was arrested by Reasi Police, and the firearm was seized.
An FIR has been registered at Police Station Bhawan in Katra under the Arms Act, SSP Reasi Parminder Singh confirmed.
