Molestation accused held | Delhi News – The Times of India

New Delhi: Delhi Police’s Crime Branch arrested a 41-year-old accused wanted in a case of molestation and POCSO Act, which took place in east Delhi’s Kalyanpuri on Feb 8.
Shiv Prakash was on the run since the case was registered, and the court issued non-bailable warrants against him. “The case was registered under sections 74/75(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 10 of the POCSO Act at the Kalyanpuri police station,” DCP Vikram Singh said.
“A police team was formed to track down the accused. Acting on specific intelligence, cops were deployed at Kotla Patparganj in the early hours of March 27. Around 6.30 am, the fugitive was intercepted and arrested while he was hiding in a house in the area,” the officer added.
Shiv Prakash, who works as a salesman in a pharmaceutical company, is a graduate and married. Investigations revealed that he had a prior criminal record, being involved in a molestation case in 2013 as well.
