Net bowler dismisses Babar Azam ahead of NZ vs PAK ODI series – WATCH | Cricket News – The Times of India

NEW DELHI: During Pakistan’s practice session ahead of the three-match ODI series against New Zealand, all eyes were on star batter Babar Azam as the team prepared for the opening ODI at McLean Park, Napier, on March 29.
However, the Pakistan stalwart endured a tough outing in the nets.
During the session, Babar was dismissed by a net bowler while attempting a shot toward the leg side against an off-spinner.
The bowler’s loud appeal was quickly upheld by the umpire, who adjudged Babar LBW. The dismissal left Babar in complete disbelief.

Pakistan are currently competing in a T20I series against New Zealand under the captaincy of Salman Agha.
While Babar Azam is not part of the T20I squad, he has been included in the ODI squad for the upcoming three-match series, which kicks off on March 29 in Napier.
Pakistan endured a disappointing campaign in the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Despite being the host nation, they failed to secure a spot in the semi-finals, marking a frustrating end to their tournament run.
