NEW DELHI: Students at Osmania University in Hyderabad staged a protest on Tuesday night after discovering a razor blade in their hostel mess curry, leading university authorities to launch an investigation into the incident.
The students from New Godavari hostel gathered on campus with the food container demanding justice and called for the University Vice Chancellor to address their concerns about the contaminated dinner meal.
According to the students, they found the razor blade while having dinner at the hostel mess.
“A committee has been constituted to look into the incident,” said OU official on Wednesday.
The protests took place late Tuesday night with students demonstrating their concerns about food safety in the hostel mess facilities.
