Seven-year-old girl found dead with throat slit at Delhi home | Delhi News – The Times of India

NEW DELHI: A seven-year-old girl was found dead with her throat slit at her home in the Swaroop Nagar area of outer north Delhi, police said on Monday.
Police said the incident was discovered on Saturday evening when a patrol unit observed a gathering outside the residence.
A head constable from the patrol team discovered the unconscious girl surrounded by blood inside the residence during his investigation. He promptly informed the local police station and superior officers.
Additional teams were deployed to the location to commence an investigation.
Surveillance footage near the residence revealed Prem Singh (32), the girl’s father, and his associate Ranjit departing the area during the time of occurrence.
Police is actively pursuing their apprehension, according to a senior official.
Singh, originally from Patna, Bihar, is employed as a daily wage worker. His spouse Muskan (32) works at a manufacturing facility in Delhi’s Libaspur.
The couple has another nine-year-old daughter, the official stated.
Forensic and crime teams conducted an examination of the incident location, and the deceased child was transported to BJRM Hospital in Jahangirpuri for autopsy, the official confirmed.
