Shots fired at W Delhi home; separate gun threat in south Delhi | Delhi News – Times of India

New Delhi: A group of men opened fire outside a residence in west Delhi’s Mangolpuri and filmed the act, with the video quickly going viral on social media.CCTV footage from the scene shows three motorcycles—each carrying three men—arriving outside a house and firing multiple rounds indiscriminately.One of the individuals is seen recording the entire incident on a mobile phone.According to police, a PCR call was received at the Mangolpuri police station on May 7 regarding gunshots heard near H Block. “The complainant, a local resident, informed us that several individuals arrived on motorcycles, and one of them fired a shot into the air before fleeing,” said a senior police officer. During the site inspection, officers recovered an empty cartridge.Based on the complainant’s statement, a case under relevant sections was registered. “Three accused have been arrested so far, and one of the motorcycles used in the crime has been seized,” the officer added.Preliminary probe suggests the incident was not linked to any gang rivalry. “The motive appears to be personal enmity. Raids are underway to track down the remaining suspects,” police said.In a separate incident, a man was arrested in south Delhi’s Panchsheel Vihar on May 3 for allegedly threatening a general store owner at gunpoint. The accused reportedly entered the shop in an intoxicated state and brandished a firearm during a verbal dispute. “A case was registered under the Arms Act and other applicable sections. The ac cused has been taken into custody,” a police officer said. tnn
