Showing the way: Pass percentage of JNVs inches closer to 100 | Delhi News – Times of India

New Delhi: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) once again set the benchmark in the CBSE Class XII results. JNVs recorded a commendable rise in pass percentagefrom 98.9% in 2024 to 99.3% this year. KVs, not far behind, also improved their performance, climbing from 98.8% to 99.1% this year.In contrast to JNVs and KVs, schools under the Central Tibetan School Administration, while maintaining a strong performance, experienced a slight dip from 99.2% in 2024 to 98.9% this year.Govt-aided schools saw a modest rise from 91.4% to 91.6%, while govt schools demonstrated the most significant improvement, jumping from 88.2% last year to 90.5% in 2025. Reflecting on the impressive gains in govt school pass rates, a schoolteacher noted, “This substantial improvement indicates the impact of effective policy implementations and enhanced educational support. We are thrilled with these results.” Independent schools, however, reported the lowest pass percentage among institutional categories with 87.9%.TheClass X resultsshowed similar trends, with JNVs and KVs leading the charge with success rate, respectively, of 99.5% and 99.4%. Unlike in Class XII results, independent schools performed better with a 94.2% pass rate. Central Tibetan School Administration schools recorded 91.5%, while govt schools achieved 89.3%. Govt-aided schools, however, exhibited continued challenges with lowest pass rate of 83.9%.JNVs continue a recent trend of domination.In 2023, they maintained their lead with 97.5% in Class XII, despite a slight 1.4% dip from 2022, aligning with national patterns. KVs, too, faced a setback in 2023, dropping from 97.9% in 2022 to 92.5% before recovering to 98.8% in 2024. Both JNVs and KVs also performed strongly in the 2024 Class X results, each posting a 99.1% pass rate.Girls notably outperformed boys at both levels, with 91.6% of female candidates passing Class XII, compared with 85.7% of boys. In Class X, the gap was even more pronounced, with girls achieving a 95% pass rate against 92.6% for boys.
