Shovana Narayan performed Kathak on Prabha Atre’s Hindustani classical musical compositions

Delhi’s performing arts enthusiasts were treated to an evocative evening of Hindustani classical music at Swaryogini, a tribute to the legendary vocalist Prabha Atre.
Vocalist Harish Tiwari invoked emotions of longing and love with khayals like Kal Nahi Aaye and Jaagu Main Saari Raina.
Kathak exponent Shovana Narayan performed on bandishein like Shiv Har Har and Mere Man Lagyo Re Shri Charana, adding a divine dimension through a combination of abhinaya and rhythmic patterns on the meaningful lyrics.
