
New Delhi: Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has invited applications for tenure memberships, ranging from three to five years, at its newly-constructed golf course in Dwarka Sector 24.After the 18-hole public championship golf course was inaugurated in Dec last year, the authority had offered about 2,000 playing rights in various categories. These included senior govt officials, applicants with golf handicap certificate, general applicants, PSUs and corporates, among others.According to officials, while some categories saw applications for memberships, others remained vacant. “We have uploaded the details on the DDA website specifying the process to apply for membership as well as the circular specifying categories, fees, tenure and other highlights,” said an official.The entire process of application and payment of entry fees will be online, stated DDA. The entry fee and monthly subscription, excluding GST, for three- and five-year tenure playing rights in govt and non-govt categories range from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 9 lakh, with a monthly subscription between Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,200.For private individuals, a five-year membership requires an initial payment of Rs 9 lakh as entry charges, plus a monthly subscription of Rs 2,200. People opting for a three-year membership will need to pay Rs 6 lakh as entry charges, along with identical monthly fees.Govt employees can avail special rates, with an entry fee of Rs 3 lakh for five years and Rs 2 lakh for three years, accompanied by a reduced monthly fee of Rs 1,500. Out of 2,000 memberships, 200 are reserved for govt employees.“Spouse and dependent children (from five to 21 years) can be added in the playing rights of individuals whose playing rights are approved. Dependents with playing rights would need to pay monthly subscription, as applicable. They are entitled to play on the golf course, driving range and utilise the club facilities. Non-playing dependents are not required to pay monthly subscription and are not entitled to play on the golf course, though they can utilise the facilities of the club house,” according to an official document.
