Volunteers have been working tirelessly to prepare a massive 7,800-litre Haleem stew, aiming to feed thousands in need during a massive Iftar as Muslims around the world observe the Holy Month of Ramadan. Footage filmed in Johannesburg on Saturday shows volunteers at Imam Ahmed Raza Jaame Masjid mosque preparing Haleem stew inside the dheg, the preparation of spices, the slow boiling of lentils in separate pots, and the final cooking process.
