AR Rahman is one of the musical maestros who has touched millions of lives with his work. His music, compositions, vocals, and every creation struck a chord with the heartstrings. It is a dream of every budding artist to join forces with the legendary AR Rahman. And today, while digging through the internet archives, we came across a picture where we saw this collaboration dream coming true for a sports star, who is none other than Virat Kohli.
The picture in question surfaced in 2016 when Virat Kohli took to his social media to share a throwback picture when he recorded at AR Rahman’s studio. Back then, Virat was India’s Test Captain, and he stepped into the world of music as he recorded the Futsal League anthem. For the same, he went to AR Rahman’s studio, where the cricketer had the utmost fun.
Sharing the picture, Virat wrote – “Throwback to the day at the genius’s recording studio, Mr. @arrahman. Candid one from the session. Had lots of fun 😎”
Not fast forward to 2025, Virat Kohli and team India have won the ICC Champions Trophy. Their victory has been recorded in the history! And up next, he is gearing up for the 18th season of IPL.
AR Rahman on the other hand, continues to create a legacy with his work. While on the professional front things have only been magnificent, on the personal front, he recently had a health scare. Following some discomfort he was rushed to the Apollo Hospital in Chennai on February 16, where the doctors saw symptoms of dehydration in the artist. After getting proper medical care, AR Rahman was discharged the same day. The news about his health sent shockwaves and everyone prayed for his speedy recovery.
