NEW DELHI: The BJP Minority Morcha is launching a nationwide “Saugat-e-Modi” campaign on Tuesday from Nizamuddin in Delhi, distributing special kits to 32 lakh underprivileged Muslim families ahead of Eid.
Under BJP National President JP Nadda‘s guidance, the initiative will involve 32,000 Minority Morcha workers collaborating with 32,000 mosques to help poor Muslim families celebrate the festival.
The special kits will contain food items, clothes, vermicelli, dates, dry fruits, and sugar. Women will receive fabric for suits, while men will get kurta-pyjamas, with each kit costing between 500 to 600 rupees.
BJP Minority Morcha National President Jamal Siddiqui said, “During the holy month of Ramadan and upcoming occasions like Eid, Good Friday, Easter, Nauruz, and the Indian New Year, the Minority Front will reach out to those in need through the ‘Saugat-e-Modi’ campaign.” He added that Eid Milan celebrations would be organized at the district level.
The National Media Charge of the Minority Morcha, Yasir Zilani, explained that the campaign aims to promote welfare schemes among the Muslim community and gather political support for the BJP and NDA.
The initiative will focus on collaborating with 3 thousand mosques during Ramzan and Eid celebrations to reach the targeted beneficiaries.
The campaign marks a significant outreach effort by the BJP to connect with Muslim communities across India during the festive season, ensuring underprivileged families can participate in the celebrations without financial strain.
