The Women’s Premier League (WPL) Fresh & Fit Challenge brought an energetic vibe to Delhi as it successfully hosted the city finale. Spearheaded by BCCI through WPL, this initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of sports participation among young girls and foster the next generation of women athletes in India. Organised by Times Experiences in collaboration with Times Fresh Face, with WPL as the talent development partner, the event provided a unique platform for young aspirants.
With an overwhelming response, the Delhi finale saw participation from over 1,700 students across leading colleges, highlighting the enthusiasm and commitment of young women toward sports and fitness. Over 55+ participants competed in the city finale.
A PLATFORM FOR ASPIRING ATHLETES
The WPL Fresh & Fit Challenge is more than just a competition – it’s a movement dedicated to fostering a healthier and more active lifestyle among young women. By integrating sports into mainstream conversations and providing a competitive platform, WPL is ensuring that more young girls step into the world of athletics with confidence.
HONOURING THE WINNERS
Three standout participants – Deepika Dalal, Toshani Rana and Uditi Mishra from Miranda House – emerged as the winners of the Delhi city finale. The winners were given the exciting opportunity to attend a WPL match in Delhi recently and were featured on live television as a token of appreciation.
