However, soon after, social media was abuzz with playful memes while teasing the cricketer over his recent controversy. Parag was in the news when his YouTube search history was accidentally leaked during a livestream. Fans had spotted search queries related to Bollywood actresses Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday, making him the butt of jokes. After his performance on-field, one fan quipped, “Riyan Parag, take a bow! Grabbed a stunner, held his nerve with the bat amidst collapse, and humbled the five-time champions—all with HIS CRUSH Sara Ali Khan watching. INFINITE AURA!”

Addressing the YouTube search history controversy in a chat with City1016 Radio, Parag clarified the incident. He explained that it was a misunderstanding and explained that he had been searching for music on YouTube during his stream, unaware of what was happening in the background. When the stream ended, he realized the situation had escalated but chose not to clarify immediately, believing that people wouldn’t understand and that it wasn’t worth addressing publicly.
