Fire erupts on American Airlines plane at Denver Airport – The Times of India

A blaze erupted on an American Airlines aircraft at Denver International Airport during Thursday’s operations.
The aircraft was stationed at Concourse C, specifically at gate C38. Passengers seemed to have no choice but to evacuate onto the wing of the aircraft, as reported by Fox News. There was no immediate information about potential injuries.
The incident occurred following an engine malfunction that forced the plane to land at the Colorado airport, according to information obtained by CBS News.
This comes after multiple aviation incidents in the US this year. A major one being, a midair collision between an American Airlines regional jet and a US Army Black Hawk helicopter near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in January which resulted in the deaths of all 67 people on board both aircraft. The crash, which occurred on Wednesday night over the Potomac River, is now the focus of a major federal investigation.
Other incidents included an air ambulance crashing in Philadelphia’s Castor Gardens neighbourhood, killing seven people and injuring 22 others. While, a collision of two small planes in Arizona which killed two people in February.
