Head constable critically injured in hit-and-run | Delhi News – The Times of India

New Delhi: A head constable of Delhi Police, who was on duty, was critically injured when his motorcycle was hit by a speeding car in New Delhi’s Mandir Marg on Monday. Nobody has been arrested yet.
The victim was identified as Mahender Meena, who lives in Kalkaji Extension, was posted as a head constable at Connaught Place police station. Police sources said the incident took place around 2pm on Monday when they received a PCR call, and a team from the local police station rushed to the spot.
A senior police officer said that during the inquiry, it was found that the head constable was going to court with some evidence. The cop was on a bike when a speeding car, allegedly being driven negligently, hit him.
Police said they were trying to nab the accused. The condition of the victim was critical. “He has received multiple fractures on his right leg, and some parts may be severed, as the injuries are deep,” the officer said. A case has been registered. TNN
