New Delhi: Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), an autonomous body under the Delhi govt, has introduced fees for previously free services, including body packaging (mortuary services) charges.
A directive from Dr Arun Kumar Rastogi, head operations (medical), states that body packaging services, which were previously provided at no cost, will now incur a fee of Rs 1000 starting Feb 27.
Several other basic services will now be chargeable, including a patient warming system at Rs 500 daily, infusion pump services costing Rs 500 for ICU, Rs 300 for HDU, and Rs 200 for ward patients per day. Additionally, nebulisation treatment will cost Rs 100 per session.
The facility will levy Rs 250 for half-day oxygen/medical gas usage and Rs 500 for full-day usage. Medical record charges for admission will be Rs 300. Furthermore, the domiciliary virtual consultation package is set at Rs 1800, while extra attendant charges for private and suite wards (8 hours/night shift) will be Rs 1000.
The institute has also revised existing service charges. USG screening costs have risen from Rs 385 to Rs 450. OPD dietician consultation fees have increased from Rs 100 to Rs 250, and virtual OPD consultation rates have gone up from Rs 400 to Rs 600.
Upon reaching out, Dr Rastogi declined to discuss the matter, citing his heavy workload and schedule.
