Man dies after being hit by an SUV in Khan Mkt – The Times of India

New Delhi: A man died after being hit by an SUV in Khan Market on Thursday morning. The identity of the deceased was not known till evening, sources said.
The accident took place around 6 am. The CCTV footage obtained from the area showed the man attempting to cross the road at a zebra crossing when a speeding SUV struck him. The driver did not stop and fled the scene immediately after the collision. People who gathered at the spot alerted the cops. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
Police registered a case and launched an investigation. Several teams were deployed to track down the suspect and gather more information about the vehicle involved in the accident. Investigators are also analysing CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to trace the route taken by the fleeing SUV.
Earlier this month, two men died after they were hit by a car in northwest Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar. In Feb, a 55-year-old woman died, and her 21-year-old son was left critically injured in a hit-and-run incident in northeast Delhi’s Dharampura.
